Hi, it’s Les.
It’s not very often I share my current copywriting earnings publicly, well it’s kinda rude to ask someone what they earn right?
With that said, this newsletter is going to be the exception.
I’ll be sharing the full story with my paid newsletter subscribers - thanks for trusting me to deliver!
I’m going to show you exactly what I’ll earn in July (this month) with a breakdown of the numbers, the clients, the hours of work involved, and explain how I got to this point and how you can too.
You may find it interesting that I can project this so accurately, but that’s also part of what you’ll learn in the newsletter.
But first…
Everyone needs a little encouragement from time to time…
Look, I do understand getting started in freelance copywriting can be challenging. Some of you guys want to do it full-time, some part-time, and some as a side hustle.
I just got an email from a new CopyHero (welcome William) who explained he was starting a new job but wanted to “create a worthwhile, fun, and hopefully specialized copywriting business in his spare time”.
And he’ll do just that, I can already see the potential.
The point is this.
Freelance online copywriting (as opposed to working for a boss) has the potential to be whatever you want it to be.
You’re in the driving seat, you dictate your hours, you dictate the clients you want to work for.
Whether you want to do it part-time like William or go all in - the choice is yours, it’s all entirely possible.
What other “job” can you say that about?
I hope you’re suitably encouraged - now on to my actual numbers!
My earnings for July
Let’s start with my headline rate on Upwork which is currently $195/hr.
Now let’s crunch my actual July numbers, this is going to be interesting…
